POCAD: Improve Your Accuracy, Improve Your Results

The direct path to success on the Point of Call (POCAD) Address Accuracy Program calls for maintaining an ongoing conversation amongst members, software developers and Canada Post. Undeliverable items are a cost to Canada Post, so there is an incentive to fix addresses. There are 140 million pieces of undeliverable mail annually, and

75 per cent is due to NCOA (National Change of Address) moves. The economic impact of this is $10 million-included in the operating costs on which rates are based. Business mailers don't just want the cost burden shifted to them. What are the tools available for mailers to increase accuracy and delivery? How can mailers work the Program to their advantage, save $s, and contain rates? Join us for this lively session.

Canadian Business and Curbside Collection-Increased Funding Responsibility

With an understanding  that "change is constant", there exists  no better  an example than the Canadian landscape as it relates to sweeping changes towards how solid waste management programs are funded across the country.   Long gone are the days that municipalities fully funded curbside collection programs through municipal tax revenue, regardless of the material placed curbside. Canadian businesses have (and will continue) to see a greater allocation of funding responsibility required to cover such costs.

Specific to the postal industry and all stakeholders, printed paper is already firmly entrenched in Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) programs, also referred to as Stewardship Programs in Ontario, Quebec and of recent Manitoba.  Other Provinces have also announced plans to proceed with such programs as a method for business to contribute funding towards the advancement of waste reduction and diversion of the goods that are produced.

Join us for this timely session. Learn the current status of EPR programs, where they are going in Canada and what your business must do to remain compliant within the Canadian regulatory landscape.

VAM (Value Add Mailer)-Canada Post Partner Program

The Partner Program was launched in 2009 and there are now approximately 400 registered partners. Canada Post revealed through focus groups that most people don't realize the complexity of mail and the benefit of using a service provider to reduce that complexity. The new Canada Post Registered Partner Portal has now launched, and once logged in, Registered Partners have immediate access to everything they need to succeed with direct mail. The newly enhanced Partner Directory responds to the Partner and client feedback, as of July 2011.

Whether you are already a Registered Partner or just want to know more about the program and its benefits, sign up for this session.
